The Finnish Scottish Society would like to warmly invite you to our 2023 Burns Supper to celebrate the life and works of Scotland’s bard, Rabbie Burns.

It takes place on Saturday 28th January 2023 in Pakinkylän VPK juhlatila, Pakilantie 64, 00660 Helsinki. The event runs from 18:30 to 23:00. Doors open at 18:00.

For the unfamiliar, a Burns Supper is a three-course meal held in honour of the Scottish national poet, Robert Burns. The centrepiece of the meal is a haggis, served with neeps and tatties, which is brought into the room to the sound of bagpipes and greeted with a reading of Burns’ poem “Address to a Haggis”. Vegetarian haggis will also be available. There will be performances of Burns’ music and poetry, and other entertainment and refreshments. There is no dress code, but kilts and tartan are encouraged. The event is strictly for adults (18 years and older).

We look forward to seeing you all there!

“Auld Nature swears, the lovely dears
Her noblest work she classes, O:
Her prentice han’ she try’d on man,
An’ then she made the lasses, O.”
